On July 9th, 2015, the Legislative Assembly
through Legislative Decree number 43 entitled: "TRANSITIONAL ACT TO EASE
THE SETTLEMENT OF ELDERLY PEOPLE´S BIRTH CERTIFICATES" provides that all
elderly persons, men and/or women, who for any reason do not have a birth
certificate, can request the settlement of said birth certificate, by going to
the Family Status Registry, of the Municipality corresponding to their
domicile. This decree shall be in force until December 20th, 2016.
